- Perform inspection and note results on tablet.
- Removed and replaced the power steering pump, supply hose, (reservoir to pump) and the return hose (cooler to reservoir). Added new fluid and bled air from the system. Cleaned the area test drove and rechecked for leaks. The power steering pressure hose is leaking and the customer is aware of this. Also the oil filter housing to block gasket is leaking oil.
- Test drove and let idle hot but never able to verify the dash light concern. Performed charging system test and the alternator, battery and cable connections are all normal. Visual inspection found the power steering pump and supply hose is leaking directly into the alternator and power steering fluid is running out the bottom of the alternator. Suspect the amount of fluid running through the alternator is causing the dash lights concern.
- Topped off the power steering fluid and found all hoses and the pump to be leaking a lot of fluid into the alternator.
